AUBURN PLANT
Job Description
P&G is the largest consumer packaged goods company in the world. We have operations in over 75 countries, with 65 trusted brands that improve lives for 5 billion consumers worldwide. This brings many advantages, including the opportunity for our employees to enjoy a diverse and rewarding lifelong career filled with new and exciting challenges. Our 24/7 Auburn, Maine manufacturing site is hiring a full time Manufacturing Recruiter to own the end to end external recruiting system for our 4 production departments. Our site is the Worlds Largest Tampon Factory and manufactures the majority of P&G's global tampon production within the company's overall Feminine Care business unit. Auburn models our work approach after several core values: culture of safety - nothing we do is worth getting hurt - utmost emphasis on quality, as well as confidence and trust in our people and systems.
Meaningful work on Day 1
As a member of the site HR team, 8 total people, the Manufacturing Recruiter will own the end-to-end external recruiting system, and all processes within, to enable full staffing. Staffing is primarily needed across the site's 4 production departments: Making, Converting, Packing, and Logistics, but may also include smaller support groups on a less frequent basis. This role is integral in closing Auburn's staffing gap as we continue to grow the site's workforce amidst a growing business environment, with new production line installation and expansion of internal warehousing capacity. In this role you'll facilitate outstanding candidate experiences, deliver recurring new hire candidate classes, and provide project coordination throughout the talent acquisition lifecycle. This is a newly created site role, but is ultimately designed to enable recruiting strategies that select the best talent with an eye on retention and onboarding success. You will partner closely with the site recruiting leader, operations directors, and certified interviewers to develop an effective workplan. This will include targeted interview strategies, regular screening calls with candidates, as well as strengthening site recruiting assets: job descriptions, community recruiting events, and internal communications / status updates.
Successful employees will break down technical / functional barriers, take on ownership supporting manufacturing projects, and ultimately bring new production capacity to our site. P&G'ers are curious, unafraid to challenge the status quo, and constant learners.
Work Schedule:
This is an onsite Monday through Friday, core 40 hours a week role. Start / end times may be flexible, but the normal work schedule is 7:30am - 3:30pm.
Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or schedule, including overtime as needed. Schedule changes will be communicated in advance of the effective date.
